Positions Available - CSBM Grade Secretaries & Manager
The 2022/23 CSB Men’s season is fast approaching, and as such the CSBM Competition Management Group is looking to fulfil the immensely important Grade Secretary Roles.
Grade Secretaries play a pivotal role in the match day management of the Men’s competition, acting as the point of contact for clubs looking to discuss rules, ground enquiries, or any other general enquiries that arise on the morning or afternoon of a match.
Please find below a brief description of both roles:
Grade Secretary Manager -
ROLE
The role of the Grade Secretary Manager is to assist the Competition Administration Officer with grading and fixturing (pre-season) and develop and allocate Grade Secretaries to matches throughout the season. They will also be a point of contact for the CSB's Grade Secretaries on game day for queries and clarification
TASKS
Maintain a position on the Men's Turf Competition Management Group.
Assist the Administration Officer with Grading and fixturing.
Allocate grade secretaries to matches.
Act as the key reference point for Grade Secretaries on rule clarification/explanation if the secretary requires support.
Act as CSB Grounds/Weather Advisor as required.
Grade Secretary - Four Positions Available
ROLE
The Men’s Turf competition is divided in to 4 tiers with each area being allocated a Grade Secretary, 3 x Saturday and 1 x Sunday. The role of each Grade Secretary is be available for match day enquires (via phone) from clubs in their allocated area. These enquires may relate to rules, ground conditions and other general enquires. The Grade Secretaries shall, when required attend matches to provide a visual presence for the competition management team.
Grade Secretaries will receive an Honorium payment from Cricket Southern Bayside.
Tier 1; Champ Division – Division 2.
Tier 2; Division 3 – Division 5.
Tier 3; Division 6 – Division 8.
Tier 4; Sunday Division 1 – Division 3.
