Female Only Umpiring & Scoring Program - Registrations Open!

The CSB is extremely excited to announce that we will be offering the following programs to our Cricket Southern Bayside community.

1. An umpiring program designed for FEMALES - whether it be parents, players, sisters, cousins, or aunts. We have some grant funding that we are using to provide this for FREE. The goal is to build an understanding of the game so they can score, square leg umpire or central umpire with confidence (and perhaps take up the offer of a part-time job as an umpire for CSB).

2. Live scoring session for ALL Club volunteers. You asked for it in our annual survey, so here it is!

Details of these programs are below. We ask that clubs pass on this information to all relevant stakeholders within the community, to promote the fantastic opportunity that is on offer.

Female Only Umpiring Program

The goal?

To increase the number of women at your Club who are comfortable to score a game of cricket, square leg umpire, or even to be the central umpire. Increasing their knowledge of the game is invaluable in terms of building their confidence and likelihood to participate in volunteer activities.

Of course, they can also become umpires for Cricket Southern Bayside and earn some cash. What a great part-time job!

The program consists of a short online learning module you can complete in your own time, followed by a face to face workshop with a qualified Premier Umpire, Clare Haysom.

This will be run on Saturday 17 September from 2.30 - 4.30pm.

Please register your interest in this program via this Outlook Form and we will send you all the details!!

Learn how to SCORE!

On our annual survey we asked Clubs if they wanted us to run live scoring sessions and we received a resounding YES!.

Our resident expert, Sue Munday, is available for a one-time only session to teach any and all volunteers how to score using MyCricket live scoring as well as providing tips and tricks for using the scorebook.

Not to be missed!

This session will be held on Saturday 17 September from 12.30 - 2.00pm. Please use this Outlook Form to register your interest.

If you have any queries around these two workshops, please do not hesitate to reach us via your club secretary.
