CSB Operations Manager Appointment - Ben Cavey
Cricket Southern Bayside is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Cavey as the organisations new Operations Manager.
Ben joins CSB with a long history in Community Cricket, schools’ cricket and Premier Cricket, which includes coaching men, women, girls, and boys, as well as administrative experience within Cricket Associations.
Welcoming Ben to CSB, Chair Iain Giles said.
“It’s great news for CSB to have someone of Ben’s experience joining our team. With CSB administering 4 competitions across Men’s, Women’s, Juniors, and All Girls, involving some 5000 players and 450 teams, Ben will be pivotal in assisting the Men’s, Women’s ISEC Juniors and the AGCC competitions we administer as well as the Key Stakeholders we work with”.
“We have an outstanding group of dedicated volunteers within CSB and the appointment of Ben will help to ease some of their work load and enable those volunteers to focus on continuing to provide the best possible Cricket Competitions for our Member Clubs”
Ben said he was excited about the opportunity to build on the success CSB has had over the last 6 years, noting “Having played cricket in Melbourne for many years in the south east bayside region, I know that the best Cricket Associations are the ones that listen to their Members. CSB is such a strong association, and I am really looking forward to being a part of the CSB family”
Ben, who started his role with CSB on Monday, will be mentored by former CSB Operations Manager Darren Anderson at Cricket Victoria. We thank Darren and Cricket Victoria for their ongoing support of CSB.
