And We’re Away! CSB Season 2021/22 Begins
In typical fashion, rain has delayed the start to yet another season!
With all round washouts to the Mens and ISEC Divisions on the weekend, the 2021/22 CSB action will commence with the All Girls Cricket Competition this afternoon. The action will begin with the 11&Under and 13&Under age groups, with the first ball of the season being bowled around the grounds at approximately 5.00pm.
After a first round washout, Inner South East Cricket will enter the new season this Friday, and as usual will have matches played across all days of the weekend.
CSB Mens will enter Round 2 on Saturday afternoon, with all clubs sharing the points to kick things off.
The CSB Womens Competition will enter the first of its grading matches this Sunday, as we welcome a number of new teams into the fold.
All four CSB Competitions have seen growth this off season, with the introduction of new clubs and existing clubs registering new teams, cricket in the southeast has never looked stronger. At CSB, It’s Cricket Your Way, and our continued growth and diverse demographic is a true representation that Cricket is a sport for all.
It’s been a long road to the start of the season, one that has presented many challenges and obstacles for our club volunteers. As play begins over the next few days, for the first time this season, it is important to recognize the tireless work of the people behind the scenes at each club.
All the best to the teams competing in the CSB this season!
Play will begin on the:
AGCC – Wednesday 17th November
ISEC – Friday 19th November
CSB Mens – Saturday 20th November
CSB Womens – Sunday 21st November
