Two strong sides meet for the Sunday A Grade final in Murrumbeena and Hampton, a high scoring affair was to follow.

Batting first, Murrumbeena posted an impressive 214/7, with Jagvir Gill (67) and Ashwin Kumar (47*) providing a strong partnership through the middle overs. Rodney Raw continued his good bowling form this summer, 3/32 including the vital wicket of Gill was an impressive day out.

In response, Hampton’s top order with rue some starts not taken advantage off, four of Hamptons top 6 reaching 20. Rahul Rastogi’s top score of 29 mean Hampton struggled to get going, finishing 169 all out. Murrumbeena used a full quota of bowlers on the day, Jack Anstee standing tall with 4/42.
