South Caufield faced Bonbeach at Princes Park to decide who would claim the Championship flag for 2024/25.

Batting first on day 1, plenty of South Caulfield’s top order got starts however it was Elliot Bradley (62) and Callum Nankervis (37) that provided the base as they finished 249 all out. Off the 5 Bonbeach bowlers, Callum Dodson stood tall with 4/66 from his 21 overs. He was well supported by Daniel Mueller, who finished 3/49.

Day two was emphatic for South Caufield as Bonbeach were bowled out for 101 after 28 overs. Bryce O’Connor provided resistance up with a solid 42, however struggling to find someone to stay with him. The wickets were shared between the bowlers, however 4/26 from Jak Jowett is worth calling out.

Callum Nankervis took MVP honours, hitting 37 in the first innings followed up with an important 2 wickets on day two.
